Creating installations for Art Souterrain

I was thrilled when I received the letter of acceptance to partake in Art Souterrain. Along with some of my Potholes images which will be exhibited on the walls of the Complexe les Ailes (metro McGill) we are also creating three Potholes installations pieces which will be part performance/installation during the night of Nuit Blanche à Montréal.

We are working in collaboration with talented sculptor Véro Dumas who is making our ideas come to life. Here are some photos of the making of so far...

About me: I completed my studies at Toronto Film School in 2003, winning an award for director of the year. I have since expanded my artistic practice to include photography. My work quickly attracted positive attention by winning juried competitions including The 2010 Chelsea International Fine Art Competition in NYC. Montreal’s Art Souterrain 2012 and MAP (Make Art Public). I have also received an award of excellence from Ms. Megan Fontanella, curator at the Guggenheim Museum NYC. MY WORK: My most recent series called Sheep Nation is in the final steps of post production and will be exhibited in May at Pentimento Galley in Toronto. My previous major photography project called Potholes showcased average citizens using potholes in creative and humorous ways. The series was met with positive reviews by art critics such as R.M. Vaughan and Leah McLaren of The Globe And Mail and has been exhibited in Montreal, Toronto NYC, Kentucky, and DC, and has been published in international magazines including Vanity Fair, Le Monde and The Telegraph.
